Woodtrace, a 488-acre residential master-planned community in Tomball, Texas, is developed by Friendswood Development Company. A 23-acre spring-fed lake sits at the center of this new community in Tomball ISD. Hidden Arbor

Cinco Ranch, ranked No. 4 on the list of the nation’s top-selling communities. The 8,000-acre development began sales in 1991 and when complete will have approximately 15,100 homes, with approximately 13,000 homes now occupied. Known for its Katy schools and an extensive array of amenities, Cinco Ranch is a project of Newland Communities.

CityCentre

CITYCENTRE is a 37-acre mixed-use development that debuted in 2009 on land formerly occupied by Town & Country Mall. Developed by Midway Companies, CITYCENTRE was selected as an Urban Land Institute Houston Development of Distinction in 2012 for its design and positive impact on the surrounding area. It includes 1.8 million square feet of retail and entertainment.

Cross Creek Ranch

Cross Creek Ranch is a project of The Johnson Development Corp. that broke ground in 2006. The 3,200-acre Cross Creek Ranch was named the 2012 Master-Planned Community of the Year by the Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA). A defining feature of the community is the 150-acre Flewellen Creek Park, which traverses the property.
 
 

Cypress Creek Lakes

Cypress Creek Lakes, a 1,600-acre project of Mischer Development that opened in 2004. Planned for approximately 2,100 homes, Cypress Creek Lakes recently started development of its final phase.

Bridgeland

Wyndehaven Lake Estates, a 38.5-acre community, is the smallest project to be designated a Quality Planned Development. A project of Terra Visions, LLC, Wyndehaven is an enclave of 79 homes and was named 2012 Community of the Year by the GHBA.

 

Aliana

Aliana® is the newest master-plan community in Fort Bend County, Texas, spanning 2000 acres. In 2010, Aliana’s Fort Bend County location was ranked No. 5 as fastest growing U.S. County in terms of job by Money Magazine, and is situated in the highly-regarded Fort Bend Independent School District.
